It was hiding in the grass on the edge of a field. It used to dodge the villagers and children every time it was seen. Three to four times the snake catcher reached here and tried to catch it but he failed every time.
According to the information received, there is Pathariya Haat village near Galla Mandi of Sagar. Which is an area adjacent to the forest. On the outskirts of the village there is Gram Panchayat Bhawan, High School and some residential houses. Fields are also adjacent to them. A woman saw the python at a distance of about 100 meters from the school and panchayat, it was the field of Kripa Shankar Pandey. After which he informed the farm owner. Snake catcher Akil Baba was called, till then he kept an eye on the snake and after about 5 minutes of hard work, he caught it.
I tried to catch him three times before
For the past one and a half months, the python was sometimes seen by school children. Sometimes it was seen by villagers passing by the road. I also saw it once or twice. For some time, we kept thinking that it would run away on its own. But when it seemed that it had set up camp here and something untoward might happen, we tried to catch it but it would take advantage of the greenery and go here and there. Today, it could not run away.
came from the forest or hill
Pathariya village is situated near the forest below the hill and rocks. The python is likely to have come from here. It hunts animals like dogs, cats, deer, rats and hyenas. It had come to the residential area in search of this. Akil Baba took it with him in a sack and will leave it in the forest far away with the forest department team.
